Meet the Therapist
Emma Riggs M.S. CCC-SLP
Emma is a Speech Language Pathologist specializing in pediatric feeding and speech therapy. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Health in 2020 and a Master of Science in Communication Disorders in 2022 from Arizona State University. She is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Arizona. Areas of special interest include early intervention feeding education and treatment, tongue ties, transition from bottle and/or breast feeding to solids, and speech-language delay.
Emma has experience with supporting needs for a variety of populations with an interest in ages from birth to 5 years old. She also has experience with children with autism spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other medical complexities. She is passionate about treating children in their natural environment for a higher likelihood that skills will carry-over outside of therapy. Emma believes in taking into consideration the whole child, not only their specific feeding or speech challenges. She also emphasizes integration of the family and community in treatment approaches.
